Mrs. Horn's Counselor's Corner
Instructor: Mrs. Horn
Hi there, my name is Tahnee Horn, and this is my 10th year as a counselor in the Millard Public Schools!á I am the Counselor at two elementary buildings, Cottonwood and Ezra Millard.á

Let me share with you a little bit about myself!á My education started in the Westside Schools where I graduated high school in 1991.á Iáattended Creighton Universityáand graduated from there with my B.S. in Elementary Education, a B.A. in Psychology, and a minor in Science. I spent about a year and a half substituting in all of the major school districts in the Omaha area, including Boys Town and being trained in the Boys Town discipline model.á Meanwhile, I was accepted into the accelerated masters program and completed my first masters in Elementary Education, as a part of the CADRE program at UNO, while teaching 6th grade at Walnut Hill Elementary School in the Omaha Public Schools.á I thenáwas hired byáDistrict 66, where I taught 6th grade for another 7 years.á Finally, while teachingáat Loveland Elementary in WestsideáI completed a masters in Elementary Counseling.áIn June, 2005, I was hired as the Elementary Counseloráat Cottonwood and Ezra Elementary.áá

I absolutely love what I do each and every day. áI have the opportunity to work with ALL students during counseling lessons in class. áIn addition, I often see students in small group settings or on an individual basis based on needs and requests from teachers, parents, or students themselves.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at school or through email at any time! áI look forward to working with you and your child(ren)!
